HIGH DESIGN MEETS THE DESERT: LAUNCHING AUTOCAMP JOSHUA TREE

400,000,000+ media impressions National and local coverage in highly respected media outlets including Dezeen, Los Angeles Times, Archinect, Travel + Leisure, Sunset, and more

Launched immediately following the pandemic with tremendous success by strategically positioning it as a socially distant travel destination with an emphasis on fresh air, open spaces and private lodging

The STORY

Joshua Tree sets the perfect scene for this 55-key boutique resort; the simplicity of its small-space design highlights the beauty of the natural desert landscape around it. The architecture nods to the eclectic nature of the town it resides, supplemented with a mid-century modern elegance. The intentional use of raw and native materials provides texture and rustication, bringing a sense of nostalgia for the true camping experience.

Agency PR worked hand in hand with the designers, HKS and Narrative Design, to ensure AutoCamp Joshua Tree met its full marketing potential. We reached out to our internal media outlet contacts and offered press trips, specifically during the highly trafficked time period of the local festival, Coachella, which reaches over 750,000 visitors each year. In doing so, we were able to entice reporters to choose the photogenic campgrounds as their place to stay while in town. We also assisted with media training the architectural team so they were well inept to be interviewed locally and virtually regarding the site.
